BEAN

Charly BEAN is an enigma...at least he likes to think so.  Born and raised in Gary, IN, BEAN started his rhyming career in the 6th grade with a group formed at Emerson School of Visual and Performing Arts called Rhythm Production Crew (R.P.C.).  Then known as Mr. Mix-It, Charly wrote and collaborated with R.P.C. building a foundation to carry him through many years of hip hop. 
In high school, BEAN hooked up with fellow band member, K-Sean and started producing beats.  This collaboration was named KC Productions and the partnership lasted through 1997 at Purdue University.  Purdue is where Charly met M.O.E. of GIN Kru.  GIN Kru already had Charly's cousin, Adsun(Seyeko LSD), as a member.  When Charly and M.O.E. met, they had a campus radio hip hop show together and decided to work on music together as well.  This eventually lead to Charly becoming an official member of GIN Kru and working with all the members(El Shaddai, Darc Nyte, Freddy Scizzahandsz) on the unreleased, Since 1992 album. 
GIN Kru made their official debut in 2003 with God's Island Kings:  Masters of the Gray Area  and followed that up with the single, "Nobody b/w Passenger Seat/Last Daze(Remix)" 
In 2004, Charly was recruited to help start a record label for another cousin of his, Roc Vega and his two partners in crime, Big Mo and Greg Peso.  The name of the label is Empty Hand Records/Stray Shot Entertainment or known simply as "Da Hand".  While with Da Hand, Charly produced and performed on a number of releases including "Da Hand" by MoRocN'G, "Da Double Up" Mixtape and "In Da Trunk" Vol 1 and 2.  These projects quickly made Da Hand a force on the Gary rap scene. 
In 2009, Charly released his first solo project, "The Son of Weisenheimer" which included collaborations with Adsun and Roc Vega.  Entirely self-produced, S.O.W. distinguishes itself as a unique blend of street savvy, intelligence and musical intuition. 
Charly is now ready to release a new project with a mixtape to precede it.  He hopes to work with a number of artists from his new home, Indianapolis, IN, as well as his old cohorts.
